Get Involved

How Can I Get Involved?

Starting at the very first moments in life, to seeing individuals and communities in the world at peace with themselves and their neighbors while living fully each moment of existence.

Our lives are inextricably linked. We belong to one another. We hope that our dream will resonate with yours and you will join us in our commitment to global health, awareness, love, and peace.

It begins with You.

Peace and happiness begin from within. The only way to change the world is to change ourselves, and the best way to change ourselves is through self-compassion, self-awareness, and self-love.

Take a look at yourself…How do you treat yourself when things are going ‘right’? How do you treat yourself when you face challenges? What practices do you employ to take care of yourself – your mind, body, and spirit?

Take a look at your relationships: with your partner, your parents, your children, your friends, colleagues, and acquaintances. Do you see those around you on the same cosmic journey of this human experience as you are? A journey of growth and expansion, contrast and opportunity? Or do you see people as ‘other’?

How do you treat those you love? How do you treat those you’ve never met? With love and compassion, or judgment and close-mindedness?

The quality of your life: how you treat yourself, how you treat those you love and those you’ve never met, have a direct impact on the quality of life of those around you, as well as those you’ve never met. Your energy affects your immediate family (immediate and extended family, friends, networks, etc.) and the energy of the human family of everyone on our planet. So what contribution will you make? One of compassion? One of peace? Or one of divisiveness and judgment?

A Peaceful, Healthy, Joyful You

Meditate or begin a meditation practice – Meditation is one of the best practices you can take up to be more present, be more peaceful, and be healthier. You can read more about the groundbreaking research the Chopra Foundation conducted that shows meditation, yoga and a vegetarian diet are linked to a decline in inflammation and cardiovascular disease risk.

“If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present.” ― Lao Tzu

Take a Vow of Non-Violence – in your thoughts, in my speech, and in my actions, towards myself and others. Be kind to yourself, be kind to others.

A life without peace is destructive, a world without peace is impossible.

Fuel your body with nutrient-rich foods in as close to their natural states as possible. Limit processed foods and animal-based foods. A whole food, plant-based diet has been linked to healthy weight loss and management, improved energy, and a reduction in the risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes.

Exercise regularly and get out in nature. There are numerous health benefits that have been linked to both exercise and earthing/grounding.

And Extends to our Community.

Peace, health, and joyfulness begin with you, but what about our world? How can we create a just, sustainable, and healthy world?

Well, there are a number of ways to get involved, and if everyone does a little, we can accomplish a lot.

First, find something that gives you a spark.

Helping children or the elderly, caring for the homeless, collecting plastic from our oceans, getting nutritious food to inner cities, becoming a rights advocate, helping disadvantaged segments of society … there are almost unlimited ways you can get involved in helping create a Peaceful, Just, Sustainable, Healthy, and Joyful World.
