Susan Leger Ferraro is a social serial entrepreneur, and each of her companies has one thing in common; human development as a core focus. She believes that maximizing human potential is the key to any successful venture, and she has proved this with her consistent track record of success. Susan’s company portfolio includes the following: Imajine That, Little Sprouts, Inspirational Ones, Peace Love and Happiness, and The Leger/Ferraro/Neal Family Foundation.
Susan’s work at Little Sprouts closed the achievement gap 9 years in a row in schools serving the most at risk communities such as Roxbury, Lawrence and Lowell. The model created by her team was part of a 9-year research project under the US Department of Education, measuring at risk early education programs across the country. In 2012, Susan sold Little Sprouts and its 18 locations after 30+ years in operations. She grew the business by 225% in 4 years leading up to its sale.
Her latest start up, as Co-Founder and CEO, is The Imaginal Group; an organization that empowers progressive public and private sector leaders to embrace the impact of life sciences and behavioral economics thereby leveraging the purpose and potential of every human life.
Susan’s 30 years of life’s vocation has been honored by the following Awards; Inc. Susan has been Expert Witness in several legal cases on educational policy.
Susan is a certified Vedic Master from The Chopra Center, Master Facilitator Franklin Covey, High Scope Facilitator, and approved Foster Parent. She also travels widely speaking at conferences sharing the evidence-based results of her work with fellow humans at NAEYC, Bioneers, US Department of Education, Heista Foundation, Ready for School, and High Scope International. Susan has secured 24M+ in grant funds and 20M+ in private/public funds focused on growth in the for-profit business market.
She also believes in the power of a group of committed citizens to change the world and serves on numerous Boards such as WGBH, Early Education for All, Massachusetts Department of Education, Alliance for New Business, Jumpstart, and Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce.
